COACH OSCAR DEL RISCO

Head Coach

Born and Raised in Lima Peru.
Played Soccer since he was 6 years old on the streets of Lima, Peru where he nurtured his ability and understanding of controlling the ball, decision making and field awareness. All this combined with the 10 of thousands of touches that a player gets to experience while playing in a small and fast field.
Because of this experience he was able to be part of one of top professional teams in Peru, Universitario de Deportes, where after a tryout with hundreds of kids he was picked to be part of the youth academy, playing many tournaments growing up, winning some until he was able to reach the top team at age of 21. Later on after a visit from a Coach from a University in New York to the training grounds where he was playing, Coach Arnold Ramirez from Long Island University in Brooklyn saw him play and performed. Right after that practice, Mr. Ramirez offered him a full scholarship to play and study at this University.
Now in Brooklyn NY he played Division 1 for the Northeast Conference, making play off on his second-year, was named two times Newcomer of the Week and one time part of the first team of a tournament in Central Connecticut, played two indoor tournaments at Fordham University and won the championship both years.
He was the captain of the LIU Blackbirds on his last year, he understands that all his accomplishments on the pitch was to do with his time playing futsal (Fulbito as they call it in Peru).
